Draft for review — effective date to be added.
Lathrop Web Design aims to make its website usable by a broad range of people, including people who use assistive technology. This statement describes an ongoing goal, not a guarantee that every page or feature is fully compliant.
Our approach
We aim to use semantic HTML, logical headings, meaningful link text, labeled forms, keyboard-operable controls, visible focus states, and sufficient contrast. Informative images should have appropriate alternative text.
Standards and evaluation
WCAG provides widely used accessibility guidance, and legal obligations vary by location, organization, service, and context. Automated checks, keyboard testing, zoom checks, and assistive technology review are useful but no single test proves complete conformance.
Accessibility tools
A toolbar may offer larger text or contrast changes. These are optional aids and do not replace accessible source code, content, documents, forms, or third-party integrations.
Known limitations
Some older content, embedded services, or third-party tools may not fully meet every user's needs. When an issue is identified, we aim to assess its impact and prioritize a practical correction.
Feedback and assistance
If you encounter a barrier, contact us through the Contact page or call 209-665-7662. Describe the page and task; share assistive technology details only if comfortable. Do not send sensitive personal information.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Review meaningful changes, incorporate feedback, and update this statement to reflect real testing, known issues, and available contact channels.
Before launch: Confirm the operating legal entity, business address, actual service practices, vendors, tracking tools, retention schedules, and applicable jurisdictions. Obtain qualified legal review. Last updated: October 15, 2026.
